St. Matthew School Information

St. Matthew Day School embodies the spirit of Jesus in its students, staff, and curriculum. The values of Christ outlined in the gospel message are the basis of our school philosophy, and we are committed to teaching those values via the Catholic faith. In addition, we aim for excellence in academics with a sense of pride in accomplishment for the student and his or her family.

St. Matthew School serves students from pre-school (four years old), Kindergarten, and grades one through eight. Class size ranges from twenty to thirty-five students. We also have a Learning Center, a Library, an Arts Center, and a Technology Center. Our school is accredited by the Illinois State Board of Education and the Diocese of Joliet. All our teachers are fully certified.

Our curriculum spans a full program of studies and our students are prepared for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation. In addition, we have a large number of extracurricular activities, including a varied athletic program.
